BURNING PERMITS REQUIRED:
Prior to conducting any open burning within the Town of Amberg a DNR annual burning permit must be obtained whenever the ground is not completely covered with snow. After obtaining your permit, and prior to burning, you must then call 1-888-WIS-BURN or go to www.dnr.wi.gov/wisburn to check for daily burning restrictions. Permits may be obtained free of charge at Driftwood Sport and Fuel. Permits can also be obtained by calling the DNR burning permit hotline at 1-888-WIS-BURN.
ISO Fire Protection Class rating is a Class 7. Verify your insurance carried has this rating information.
Meetings are held 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Community Center Meeting Room.

The Town of Amberg provides garbage and recycling services through a contract with The Great American Disposal Company (GAD) 906-774-9006. Summer weekly pickup resumes every Friday after Memorial Day and ends the Friday after Labor day when it reverts to the winter schedule of alternate Friday pickups based on whether you live on the east or west side of Hwy 141.
